Sweat Records: YLT Info + Circa this Saturday!!

Hey Friends,

First off, we are officially SOLD OUT of tickets to tomorrow's Yo La Tengo concert at Studio A. The venue has told us that they too are sold out of pre-sale tickets but will have about 100 more tickets available at the door. Doors are at 8pm, so be early this time!

And.... this Saturday is a hat trick of cool events!!

1. Tate's Comics and The Bear and Bird Gallery present "FOR THE LOVE OF MUNNY" vinyl toy art show!! Come see all the cute little monkeys people painted, decorated and customized. I even made one too, it's glittery... 7pm, full info in the listings or at www.bearandbird.com

2. Then, it's the inaugural night of our new weekly party!! CIRCA SATURDAYS begins this Saturday at the newly renovated Circa28 (aka the old Slak Lounge/Two Last Shoes on N Miami Ave and 28th St). There's going to be chilling and lounging downstairs, and a seriously awesome dance party upstairs. Plus, drink specials, cool movies projected on the walls, live music, and no cover!! For the debut we've got a special performance by one of our favorites - THE DOWN HOME SOUTHERNAIRES!! More info below, and you can also connect with us at http://www.myspace.com/circasaturdays. We promise good times.

3. Saturday night there's also a benefit show at Churchill's - there will be live music (Doormouse, Juan Montoya of Torche, The Sea Swallows and more), DJs (Induce, Plot, Cabello, Erock), and an art auction (Francesco LoCastro, LEBO, Frank Galland, R. Grimes), to benefit a nice local dude with a stubborn brain tumor!! Please check it out.

Sweat Records: New Toys + Rag Trade Opens Saturday!!

Lots of cool haps!

-Book Club meeting tonight! It's also all-you-can-eat yummy curry night at Churchill's so stop on by for some home-cooked dinner and literary conversation! It's 8pm at the shop.

-Sweat's got in some DOPE new toys - both colorways of the new MAD VILLAIN M.F. Doom figure (nearly sold out online, get them at Sweat and save the shipping!) and the new AZTECA 3" DUNNY series with a ton of awesome designs by Mexican artists. Check them out at Kid Robot
