Tonight at Churchill's, Miami's folk heroes RAFFA + RAINER debut their new weekly event!! "Can You Rock A Little Softer?" is a weekly showcase of featured local and national acoustic acts. There are so many great musicians coming up in the scene that now is a perfect time to start this!! This week's performers include Nick Kruge, Julia Carroll (Georgia), Sir Majesty, The Down Home Southernaires and of course, Raffa and Rainer themselves. They play from 9.30 to midnight, and there's an hour of open mic before and after so anyone can come up and share some chords!! Sweat Records, VICE, and the New Times are extremely happy to be bringing you the exclusive South Florida premiere of ELECTROMA, the new film by legendary French electronic artists DAFT PUNK!! Without giving away too much, it's the surreal story of two robots on their quest to be human...

Doors are at 8pm and the screening starts promptly at 9. Before and after the film we've got excellent local DJ team The Deuce Crew spinning a Daft Punk tribute set, and we'll be playing Daft Punk videos and their other feature, 2003's disco-house animated musical "Interstella 5555". We're also giving out VICE Records samplers with all sorts of good music to the first 100 people!!

Tickets are only $6 (cheaper than a real movie!!) and will be available at the door or you can reserve yours right now at studioamiami.com.

In other Sweat news, we've got the new M.I.A. single "Boyz" on special for just $3 and we're giving out a really cool live EP from The Fratellis when you buy their album "Costello Music"!!

Tonight at Studio A, Sweat favorites THE STARLIGHT MINTS and THE LADYBUG TRANSISTOR will be playing live!! Fans of fun indie pop/rock a la Of Montreal, B&S, The Flaming Lips, Polyphonic Spree and etc. will definitely dig this show!! Opening will be locals THE JEANMARIE and I'll be playing some cool tunes between sets so come on out!! Doors are at 8pm.

Tomorrow night brings us an all-around amazing local show at Churchill's (John Hancock, The Down Home Southernaires, Junc Ops AND Jesse Jackson!!) and the debut of the ROBOT ROCK weekly party at Amendment XXI.

On Saturday is "KRAFTWORKS", Rag*Trade's first craft-fair-block-party!! It's going to be insane - read on for all the juicy details!! Later that night at Circa Saturdays, we've got the DIGITAL RADIO KILLERS performing live!! No cover as always...

Also, as of this week, Off The Radar and The Lab are going on hiatus!! We'll keep you posted on when they return...
