Tonight at Churchill's the ever-awesome New Art School team present a special live performance by CAPTURED! BY ROBOTS!! If you've never heard of them, go to www.capturedbyrobots.com immeeeediately. Humanoid "JBOT" has been captured by evil musical robots and forced to play for audiences worldwide. Lookee:

Definitely check this out tonight, as they'll be joined by Teddy Bear Orchestra, The Terry Schiavo Hyper-Crystal Suicide Cult, and Shuttle Lounge featuring Ravelstein and the Rockets!! Only $8 for what is promised to be "over-the-top ridiculousness." Sweat will be open too so don't stay home!!

This weekend at Circa Saturdays, we've got a special guest DJ set by one of Miami's favorites - the amazing DJ HOTTPANTS, along with the CD release party for the highly-anticipated new album from Canadian chanteuse FEIST!! We'll have limited edition lithographs for a few lucky fans so stop by on your night out!!

Sweat Records: 4/20 Festivities and Beyond...

Big weekend once again!! It's a quasi-holiday here in Miami so there are numerous 4/20 parties and events all around... Scroll down for the full dilly. Tonight we also bid a fond farewell to local wine bar Stop Miami. This will be their last night open so stop by and wish them well!! Out Of The Anonymous will be providing the musical send-off...

Tomorrow at Circa Saturdays we are extremely pleased to be bringing down one of our favorite almost-local bands - Gainesville's own VELVETEEN PINK!! Their 70s retro vibe was a huge hit at the Plug show last October so we've brought them back to rock you once again. Smooth synth lines, catchy hooks and matching outfits - what more do you need? As usual there is NO COVER at Circa Saturdays so this show is FREE!! Showtime is midnight on the upstairs stage.

Sunday is Earth Day so check out EarthFest 2007 at Crandon Park with live performances by the Spam All-Stars and more, a "freeswap" organized by Rag Trade and all kinds of other green happenings!!

Sweat Records: Weekend Wrap-Up!!

Hey Friends,

Lots of great new music in at Sweat, plus new issues of VICE, WAX POETIC and more!! Our store hours are still *6pm to midnight 7 days a week* so don't go showing up too early (or if you do, stop in Churchill's and have a pint!!).

We're keeping busy over here, gearing up for Sweat Records' 2nd birthday bash on Friday, May 11th. Mark our words, it's going to be off the chain...

Tonight: Rag Trade is having a huge sale!! Modernage are playing live at Circa28, Ghostland Observatory are live at Studio A and "Grand Groove" goes down over at Jazid...

Tomorrow: The Flaming Lips live at the Pompano Beach Amphitheater!! Let us be thankful that these great, huge shows are making their way to South Florida...

Last but not least, this Saturday we're proud to present a live performance by DANCE, JENNY at Circa Saturdays at Circa28!!
