BATTLE TONIGHT + CALL IT RADAR FRIDAY!!

Dear Friends,

We're putting the email out a little early this week to remind you that *tonight* is the second SWEAT/MOCA BATTLE OF THE BANDS!! Check out live performances by 5 diverse local bands and vote for your favorite. Free with museum entry, plus free beer, Dogma dogs and energy drinks!! Not only that but Sweat's own DJ Just Dandy (Jsin!) will be spinning tunes for your enjoyment!!

Tomorrow night at Fridays at The Vagabond we've got 2 bittersweet farewells!! First, our good friend DJ JOHNNYLOVE is moving to Portland and we wish him the best!! Second, Miami indie rock trio CALL IT RADAR are calling it a day and will be playing their LAST SHOW!! They were awesome at the in-store they played at Sweat a few weeks ago so come bid them adieu - showtime is midnight outside!!

We've also got ONE copy of the amazing SIGUR ROS book/LP collection "In A Frozen Sea"!!!! It contains a 32-page gorgeous 12x12 book of photos, their classic albums Agaetis Byrjun, ( ), and Takk, as well as the first ever vinyl pressing of Smaskifa - 7 LPs in all!! Limited to 5000 copies worldwide, this is a must-have for any fan of this seminal Icelandic band.

Last but not least, next week's MUSIC MOVIE MONDAY will feature Prince's uber-classic film PURPLE RAIN!!!! You know Sweat loves Prince - we had a tribute party for him back in '05, our crushed purple velvet couch was created in his honor, and he's a part of our amazing new "Wall of Idolatry" mural on the outside of the shop. You can purify yourselves in the waters of Lake Minnetonka Monday at 8pm!!
