HAPPY 4TH OF JOSE!!

Happy 4th!! Tonight at Fridays at The Vagabond, we're celebrating in a slightly more Miami way so come out for THE FOURTH OF JOSE with JOSE EL REY!! Recently voted "Best Local Solo Musician" by the New Times, tonight is also the King's special CD Release Fiesta so you can finally cop a copy of his new CD!! We've also heard that the MIAMI BASS WARRIORS will be in the house so you know you can expect some suprises... All that plus our awesome resident DJs, $1 Stella and PBR before 12, AND we're going to have a table where you can register to vote so you can flex your rights this November. As always it's free before midnight and only $5 after so come on out!

MUSIC MOVIE MONDAYS started off great last week and continues next week (the 7th) with a screening of The Talking Heads' seminal concert film STOP MAKING SENSE!! Seating is at 8pm and the film starts promptly at 8.30. Popcorn and snacks are available and of course everyone is invited to stay and discuss the film afterward!!

We've also got 2 cool live in-stores coming up this week... On Sunday, San Francisco's SHIMOMITSU graces Sweat with his electronic sounds, then next Saturday, we welcome CALL IT RADAR back from their tour with performances by them, THE DOWN HOME SOUTHERNAIRES and LION BOY!!
